When you or someone you care about experiences traumatic brain injury (TBI), behavioral changes due to the injury can affect you and/or those around you. For reasons that are not fully understood, TBI may cause certain behavioral problems like physical and verbal aggression, agitation, and irritability that never occurred before the injury.

While certain behavioral problems due to TBI can be common, there are no approved medications to treat TBI-related aggression, agitation, and irritability. As a result, doctors in this study are evaluating an oral investigational drug for its effect on certain behavioral problems of people who have experienced TBI.

The results of this study will provide more information about the investigational drug and whether it could one day be used to help treat behavioral problems caused by TBI.
